Not sure if it will see the race track this year as I still need to make my current 250 Suzy more competitive. Bought her for $350 a 1971 T350 ( 315cc ) all I can use from her is the frame, engine, tank and hubs so if anyone has some goodies that would fit the bill please contact me or if anyone knows anything regarding tuning specs I’m all ears.
sorry to say Terry but the T350 first came out in 1970. it’s not a P1 bike. ![]()
Allan
#10
That’s correct Allan well actually 69 but they let it slide in cos its a weak low cc cycle or so I am told. It’s listed in the rule book as well, I checked that before I bought it. Hope to see you at the AGM.
Terry
everything that I could see says that it was first introduced in '69
even if it’s 69, the P1 cutoff is 1967 . Who let it slide?
If thats the case, Yamaha also put out a weak little 2-stoke in 69….. called the R5
let the flood gates open
Allan
How’s my 1965 Yamaha 305 going to compete against that? I believe that bike is also a six speed
How about the Yamaha DS7? Can I run that bike in the P1 class?
I can race my R5 in P1???
That will change my plans for next year!
Oh, wait, they were introduced in 1970.
Oh well.

Thanks Greg, I didn’t mean to start a !!! storm here but I thought I was doing well supporting another P1 class and trying to parade another rare old bike. I had to stick to Suzy’s so it took me over six months to find one and another six months to pry it out of the guys hands, but finally I have it and have already invested over $500 of what I am guessing will be around $2500 to make her race ready.
Ken Livingstone campaigned one of these in P1-350 a few years ago, with some success I should add ![]()

That’s why it’s pointless bringing out my Aermacchi anymore.
well, its certainly good to see a new project on here. and its a smoker - yah baby.. looking forward to following this build.
lots of pics is good!
Go Terry Go… I have a P1 Suzy project as well… GT185.
Hey Collin did you get the 185 from a older gent outside of Havelock?I looked at one that was on Kijji and was tempted but figured I have enough projects to keep me busy for a while. Just curious Let me know Wilf.
I figured that! I put my Sherlock hat on and added 2 + 2 and came up with 3 I am so good!
The T350 is on hold I am in need of at least one cylinder.
Check your mail Col see what you think of the pics I sent
Hey Terry I think I saw a T350 engine on Kijji last night under vintage bikes in Ontario.Too many projects but always looking Wilf
Hi Wilf now I know who relicracer is! I answered that ad and he replied but no deal has been struck so far. The problem being the head is not T350 it is either GT250 or GT380 or 550. I’m not sure if the 380 or 550 would fit on a T350 so my thoughts are its a GT250 ? so I asked him to let me know what piston diameter it is and he hasn’t got back to me.
Thanks for the heads up though.
Get yourself a P1 smoker and join us!
Terry
Pretty sure the 250 and 380 heads ,pistons and cyl are the same.
Also I believe the 350 and 550 heads, pistons and cyl are the same.
