on board videos

I uploaded some videos from the first 3 races.

Let me know if you have problems viewing them.

Tim

Well…Where is the vid? Hope your recovery is going well

You mean THE video? Neither camera worked in that race. I put in new batteries, but I guess they were “old stock” and I got zero footage. Too bad, would have been a good one to see again. Make sure you click on “more from this user” to see all 4 videos.

And I just got back from a 3 hour ride. Still hurting, but that wont keep me from running at the romp.

Tim

Hey Tim - great footage. Sorry to hold you up for the first couple of laps at Shannonville but for once, it seems I got a good start.

Neat to see how the Hawk pulls out of the slow corners. I guess it’s a function of the lens or vibration or something but I don’t remember my bike wiggling like that

I sort of remember Scott stuffing me in three but didn’t know it was that close.

Cool.

Steve..I realized it was too close after we got through the corner..very sorry about that, I should of waited.

Tim..maybe this link would be easier as it shows all videos there..

Scott

Actually, I don’t think you should have waited - it’s gotta be difficult to get by on a 125 on a track like that, especially when the diesels pull out of the turns so well.

I left the door open and you made a decisive move. It’s when some guys do this namby pamby “show him a wheel” crap that we sometimes have problems. It was a good pass.

If an apology was neccessary - I would’ve gone looking for you

Cheers Steve..thanks and much appreciated.

Scott

Top link fixed, thanks Scott.

Check out the 5th video being uploaded as I type this. It’s the 3rd lap of that race, with front and rear view.

Tim..

How many times do I have to watch me stuff’n Steve!!! Enough already!!

Actually though, it’s very cool how you pieced that together…I take it your bike is good to go for NB if you’ve got time to be doing stuff like this

see ya
Scott

Scott - there’s a number of interesting corners at North Bay so visualize the track, and after careful consideration, going over the pros and cons of each one, make an informed, intelligent, professional decision and choose the one you’re going to stuff me in

And make sure Tim gets it on camera. Um, of course we’d have to be in front of him for that to happen.

IM NOT A STUFFER DAMMIT !!!

Steve, as a matter of fact I have a layout ..given to me the first time I was at NB 2 years ago that was used to setup the track..I will peruse the layout and forward you a few options of where you’d like to be stuffed !!!

Also, here is a link to my new team logo:

Scott
ps..no need to be in front of Tim..he now runs 2 camera’s …front and back
Also..wanted to post my logo in the message but couldn’t figure out how?

The rear camera works best, so please remain behind me for the entire race.

And no, my bike is not ready. I still have some straightenin’ to do…

Hey Scott…there you go!!!

Hey Tim, what type of camera do you use, and how do you set it up on the bike?
Is it mounted completely to the bike, or is any of it tucked in your leathers. How about the techies, any special wiring for the hook up?
I’ve got one of these and I’d like to try it out.
Cheers, Graham

thanks for the video of the heat race. i can watch myself blow the start over and over

                                               LA

Hey Graham, I thought about those systems, but wasn’t keen on wearing the hard drive, or strapping it to a bike that could, uh, get launched backwards into a white tire wall in corner two at Mosport.

I have two of these:

They are stand alone cams, with a slot for a 1G SD memory card and 4 ‘AAA’ batteries. 1G will hold 1 hour of video, and the (good)batteries usually last that long as well. Sound sucks, as you must have heard from the videos I posted. I reduced the sound quality to bring a couple of the vids down to the 100mb limit, but it’s not much better right out of the camera. I’ve tried epoxying the mic hole on both of them, and it helped a bit, but it still sucks…For $100 each(a couple yrs ago), I thought it would be cheap and fun entertainment. Too bad they don’t make them anymore. I have one mounted up front on the right side fairing, and the rear is on top of the tail fairing.

Hook yours up for the Romp. I’m sure it would be much better video and audio than my setup.

they do still make these cameras..

for cheap here is best buy U.S.

shame about the video distortion guess all the sd card ones do that

thanks Graham..

I had clicked on “Img” box..pasted the link..then the “Img” box again at the end of the link..

why she no worky?

Scott

The easiest way is to bring up a picture, any picture on the web should work, right click on it and in the box that appears select Properties. A new box should then appear, look for the line that says Address (URL), highlite the whole line to the right that that starts with www. Once that line is highlited right click again and select copy. Now go to the reply page, left click the IMG box, right click the cursor, select paste, left click the *IMG box and then preview.
A picture should appear.
If this does not work, send me your phone number and I’ll try and talk you through it.

Cheers, Graham

Hi Graham..that’s exactly what I did but when I previewed it this is all I saw..

not too worried about..have 2 bikes in the garage that are in need of full prepping for NB!! thanks though..
