For those wishing to not attend the daytime meeting, the Peterborough area has many offerings. The hotel is located along the Otonabee River and adjacent to the downtown area. There is the Canadian Canoe Museum (old OMC factory location) and the Peterborough Lift Lock, both approximately 5 minute drives. The Peterborough Farmers’ market is a short walk from the hotel. Also, if there is interest, the hotel has offered to arrange for group transportation to the surrounding area for exploring small town/village shopping and restaurants/cafes. Looking forward to seeing everyone there…Cheers!

Dean Pattemore

Beautiful area - thanks Dom.

Thanks to Dean Pattemore for the organization, I had nothing to do with it

Thanks for stepping up Dean - it’s not a small task!

Who would I talk to in order to grab a couple tickets to the AGM?

Thanks, Rob

Dean Pattemore has tickets.

How much are the tickets? Want to pick a couple up at Calabogie.

Can we purchase through ST?

I picked up a couple of tickets from Dean at Mosport, $60 each.

I tried booking a room for a couple of nights at the hotel last Friday evening but the only number I could find was the central reservations located dog knows where. Having gone through all the required information with that person they told me I would have to book directly through the hotel as it was a special event or something like that. Having got the elusive direct hotel phone number from them I tried calling but got an answering machine saying that the reservations department was closed for the weekend :open_mouth: .

Anyway, got through on Monday morning after a couple of attempts and completed the booking. So, if you want to book a room for the banquet don’t bother calling the 1-877 number on the website, the hotel number is 705-743-1144.

Stan

… not able to go to Calabogie .. :open_mouth:

… how can I get my hands on a couple of AGM Tickets ?

Cheers,

Does anyone have a contact number for Dean to get a couple of AGM tickets.
Thanks Paul

I believe tix were available through series tracker last year… will they be this year too?

Wow I can’t believe we are in the last week of August…

Regarding Series Tracker and AGM tickets I’m not sure if the club will be selling tickets using that method.

If you wish to purchase and you won’t be at Calabogie then I suggest an e-transfer. With an e-transfer there is a record of payment for both parties, the ticket(s) number will be recorded with your name and digital photo of the ticket(s) sent to your email address.

If you haven’t book your room in Peterborough yet, I suggest you do so by end of day Thursday (Aug. 31st) to take advantage of the better rate.

If you wish to get a hold of me, private message works best.

Dean

Need info on where to order the tickets , send e transfer to etc
Cheers Terry

AGM Banquet tickets are $60.00 each.

To purchase AGM Banquet tickets there are the following choices:

  1. I will be at Calabogie with tickets.
  2. An e-transfer can be sent to my email address.
  3. Cheque (although this hasn’t been confirmed with the Executive Committee).

If you use the e-transfer…

  1. Send me a private message through the forum.
  2. I will send you my email address.
  3. With my email address you can send me an e-transfer.
    After receiving the transfer…
  4. I will write your name on the tickets, take a photo of your tickets and send an email (with the ticket photo) stating that ticket(s) will be reserved.
  5. If you would like to have the tickets in your hand I can mail them to you if requested.

I don’t know if tickets will be available on Series Tracker.

If you wish to purchase by cheque please follow the following steps…

  1. Provide our treasurer with the cheque and ask that the treasurer let me know that you have purchased ticket(s).
  2. Provide contact information (your preferred method of contact) to the treasurer so that it can be passed on to me.
  3. Once I receive notice from the treasurer I will contact you to confirm your tickets are reserved.
  4. Again, I can email you photo of the tickets for your record or I can mail them…whatever your preference.

Dean

AGM Banquet UP Date

Ticket sales have been excellent. For those who have been debating whether or not to come, there are some tickets left but I encourage you to act soon. I will have to set a cut off date for tickets so that we can provide an accurate count for dinner.

I was in contact with the Hotel today regarding rooms. There was an inquiry if there were rooms still available and I have confirmed there are 4 rooms still available in the block of rooms reserved for VRRA. I am assuming the person inquiring about the rooms will be booking theirs so that will mean 3 rooms available.

The Hotel will still provide our group rate until 17:00 (5pm) so if you are considering a room take advantage of the rate and book tomorrow.

Less than month to November 4th…

For those available on Friday there will be a separate reserved dining area from 5pm-8pm. I encourage all who are arriving on Friday to take advantage of the dinning area that has been set aside for our VRRA members/friends.

Also available on Friday, a suite has been reserved for those wishing to spend some time visiting and catching up with friends in a casual atmosphere.
