Endurance handicaps revamped.

In an attempt to level the playing field and address people concerns of ‘fairness’
We will be implementing a ‘weigh in’ of riders before each event.
Recognizing that a large part of the performance of a bike has to do with the weight of a rider , weight will now be factored in to the handicap.

This is how it will work.
We will take 200lbs per person as the base line.
Riders will be weighed with leathers on but no helmet.
For every 10lbs over the 200lb base line the team will gain 1 lap.

If the team rides a bike 500cc or less machine, the team will receive 1.5 laps per extra 10lbs.

Only registered riders will be weighed.

Thanks

Percy.

I am available to the highest bidder , make your offers

As a lightweight salad eater I find this appalling.

As a heavyweight meat eater, I find your salad eating appalling.

I sense a disturbance in the force…

What day is this again…?

April 1st anyone?

That’s a Solid revamp…

Race prep…One week of Imodium followed by 30 minutes of Ex-lax.

About time the VRRA recognizes this discriminatory practice…Clydesdale categories have been in Marathons forever.

Thank God. I’m so sick of dieting…

In mountain bike races I was always in the double magnum class (Clydesdale)…
Me Ashton and Dom ought to be pretty hard to beat for combined weight!

Percy has a P1 350 that the four of you could do some real damage on…to the poor bike. :open_mouth: :sunglasses:

The upcoming season looks to be an epic one for our “little” club.

I’m still trying to convince Bob to let me prep his GT185. I maintain that that machine in P1-200 is the “hot ticket”. In endurance, those things were bullet proof, we could just ride round and round for two hours drinking coffee and laughing all the way to the lightweight championship with our extra bazillion laps! But sadly that is not our path…

Next year Ashton! I have P1-200 in my future.
Might as well try before I buy. LOL.
