I added the season standings to the web site. I’m not 100% convinced that these are correct though as there seem to be heat classes missing from MyLaps. For example, Middleweight Production, P1 500, P1 250, P5 F1, P3 Heavyweight, etc.
I don’t know if they just didn’t run because of the rain??? Timothy is checking. I’m pretty sure I saw Stan riding in the P1 250 Heat so I believe that one happened.
There were also some class mixups that we had to correct manually. For example, Matthew Winter’s results were in 2 Stroke Open but I believe he was riding his SV650 in BoTT. This was a big issue last year.
The sidecars are not there yet as I need to change the code to handle new Rider/Passenger name formats. I’ll do that this week.
Anyway, MyLaps is what it is. If you notice something that you think is wrong let me know and we’ll fix it.
The last race on Saturday (#14) was not run when only one rider from each class appeared at Pit Out..
Classes were: MW Production, P1 500, and P1 250.
In my opinion (and after a straw poll of about a dozen other guys), if people don’t race because it’s wet that is their forfeiture, and those who are willing should be sent to compete.
We three had four laps of practise instead. ( And there was an additional short practice after that.)
The reason given for scratching the race was that it had been a long, cold, challenging day for volunteers (true), but that didn’t make sense given that the practices were still conducted.
Hopefully it doesn’t happen again but I accept that occasionally a less than perfect decision is made.
Thanks. That makes sense from a Mylaps perspective.
There were also some number changes with some riders in the heats having one number and a different number in the finals. I think all of them are corrected It actually changed the scoring in a few classes quite a bit
I showed up for that 500 race. I was the only one in my class. I did 3/4 lap with shitty traction and pulled off. Not worth risking my body or Gary’s bike to ride in slow circles by myself.
Do I get heat race points? Kidding. Doesn’t matter.
Okay, doesn’t matter to you Chris. And I understand about Gary’s bike. But there are points for heats and they can matter at the end of the season. I’ll race with sketchy traction — it becomes a test of who manages the added challenge better.
Steve
Absolutely. But racing myself seemed silly.
